Wild Boundaries was formed by a group of artists living and working in Cornwall who share a fascination with one of the county’s most distinctive features: the Cornish hedge.
These ancient boundaries, built from local stone and earth, have shaped the landscape for thousands of years. They mark fields and lanes, connect past and present, and quietly support an extraordinary diversity of life.
Wild Boundaries is both a celebration and an invitation: to look more closely, to value what has long been part of our landscape, and to recognise these ancient hedges as places where culture, nature, and creativity meet.
This website will follow our journey as a collective. We’ll share artwork, ideas, exhibitions, and discoveries, celebrating the rich and often overlooked world found within Cornwall’s wild boundaries.
We hope you’ll join us.
