The hedge artist collective

Wild Boundaries is a collective of five Cornwall-based artists who share a deep connection with the landscape and, in particular, the ancient hedgerows that shape and define it.

The founding members are Sara Bevan, painter and printmaker; Hester Dennett, ceramicist and metalworker; Jennie Hale, ceramicist; Amanda Richardson, textile collage artist; and Lou Tonkin, lino-cut printmaker.

Working across a diverse range of materials and artistic practices, we each respond in our own way to the character, history and biodiversity of Cornwall’s ancient hedges. These remarkable living monuments are more than boundaries between fields—they are rich, evolving habitats that hold stories of the land, its people and its past.
